Human Rights Tribunal Application Updates - March 31st 2017

The Hearing has been adjourned to August 24 and 25, 2017. In the meantime, the Applicants and Respondent have formed a committee to send out a joint survey to determine the demand for league play. The survey will go out to club representatives mid-May for their response. A second survey will be sent to them in late May for distribution by them to the members of their respective clubs.
It is hoped that the parties will learn more about the needs of Mixed League participants with a view to resolving the matter or, alternatively, providing additional evidence to the Tribunal. We will regularly provide our members with updates as they become available.

The InterCounty Tennis Association was founded in 1962 by Forbes Mountain who played out of the Brampton Tennis Club in Brampton Ontario Canada. The InterCounty Tennis Association is dedicated to the advancement of team tennis in Southern Ontario.

Over 120 clubs presently belong to the ICTA. Member clubs to the ICTA stretch from Pickering to Oakville and from Toronto's downtown Lakeshore to King City, Caledon and beyond.

Member clubs of the ICTA must pay an annual fee of $30.00 by the Spring AGM and $60.00  by April 15 for each team entered in league play. Clubs wanting to join the ICTA should notify the President, and introduce their club at the Annual General Meeting in October or the Spring Meeting in March.

Requirements for new clubs are availability of 2 courts minimum (please consult each League's rules for more details), lights (if there are evening teams), and provisions for washrooms.
