The InterCounty Tennis Association’s (ICTA) Annual Tournament will be held on September 12th at the Rexall Centre. The rain date will be September 13th. This year’s tournament is supported by Tennis Canada and Miele Limited and is the final event of the 2009 Miele League Challenge. There is no admission fee, so please come out and watch a fantastic day of tennis featuring matches from the top teams in all four ICTA Leagues – Mixed, Ladies, Plus55 and Juniors! Food for purchase will be provided by the Doug Philpott Inner City Children’s Charity – so bring your own chairs and enjoy the matches!
Two years ago, the ICTA debuted this one-day tournament to allow all leagues and divisions an opportunity to come together and play in showcase matches. Last year the tournament became a part of the sponsorship agreement with Miele Limited, Tennis Canada and the Ontario Tennis Association. Additional sponsors will support a great day of tennis as teams from across the GTA compete for the 2009 ICTA Championship bragging rights.
Awards ceremonies are planned several times during the day on Centre Court with prizes for all teams and participants.
Court assignment and match times will be posted here soon.
Parking: is available in the Ice Gardens lot directly across from Rexall Centre or at the Black Creek Village. It is not certain whether there will be a charge for parking, but if an attendant is present you will be charged.
Facilities: Washrooms are available at the Rexall Centre. There will be limited seating, so please bring your own chairs.
Food and Water: The Doug Philpott Inner City Children’s Charity will be providing food (hot dogs, hamburgers, etc.) and water and other beverages for purchase.
Raffle: There will be raffle draws during the day. Prizes include tennis clothing, racquets and bags! Tickets will be sold at the Registration area.
