A Special Message from the ICTA
The ICTA would like to provide you with an update on our plans for the upcoming season.
We know that because of COVID-19 concerns and government orders, many clubs will not be able to open on time and that you face big challenges with your programming, membership and so on. As a result, so do we.
It is impossible for us to set our playing schedules, determine the number of teams that clubs will field or contemplate start dates until we know more of a timeline from government and expert sources when things will start to improve.
While we have announced a new date of April 28 for our Spring AGM, plans for that date are not finalized and we may need to consider moving this event again, if social distancing protocols are still in effect. Tennis Canada is not able to guarantee us the needed space at this time for obvious reasons.
Until clubs know how many teams that they are going to field for the season, only the membership fee of $60 is due by April 28. Here is the link on the payment options:
As life slowly returns to normal, the ICTA will be proactive in reaching out to our member clubs with news about start times for the season and any accommodations we need to make.
The ICTA would like to thank all of you for being leaders at your clubs during this time and for helping to slow the spread of the corona virus by your actions. Working together, we will hopefully see a more swift return to the courts and the sport that we love.
Be well and be safe,
